My 2 daughters ages 11 %26amp; 13 are going to be in a pageant. I have to take pictures for most photogenic and I am not sure what judges are looking for. Do they want just head shots, black %26amp; white, fun pics, themed pics, or pics by the pros? I am clueless. Any advice would be welcome. Thanks. What are the best kinds of pics for photogenic in a beauty pageant?
Depends on the pageant. Glitzier pageants want retouched photos. More natural pageants will be happy with a simple headshot or shoulders-up shot. Make sure they have good eye contact and no shadows on their faces. If you do black and white, don't do a black or dark turtleneck, makes it look like their head is floating in space! Try a patterned shirt or dress or something with stripes or polka dots. You can do an open collar shirt or polo shirt. Make sure the top doesn't detract from their face. You want the judges to see their face, not the clothes. Eye contact is the most important, and that they are showing personality with their eyes and smile. Color shots, same rules, but make sure it is a color that doesn't wash them out, don't do a white shirt,,,washes everyone out in a picture. Not a lot of accessories either, again you want them to see their face. Try Picture People, Clix, places like that. Good place to get your first time headshot and cheaper than a pro photographer. What are the best kinds of pics for photogenic in a beauty pageant?
idk but photogenic means you look good in any picture. so i don't think it should really matter, just a picture where they look cute in you know? i'd say if they put on dresses and went to the beach or something!
