What is the real beauty that makes us happy and appreciative free from envy and cynicism?

When we look at someone or speak to some, we feel a rare charm in their face or words or gestures, that makes an endearing impact, quite different from how we feel with more wise and expert reactions of other beautiful ones we have come across..? What is that makes the former more endearing and charming in our eyes and mind..?What is the real beauty that makes us happy and appreciative free from envy and cynicism?
I read in the Stories For the Innocent by Sri Rajaji (first Governor General of India, the votary for free enterprise when the ruling Congress was following Decmocratic Socialism, Gandhian Reformist, man of letters and a multi faceted personality) about how the child of a hunch backed and bow legged woman (often jeered by the local urchins for her crooked back and strained movements) was asked by another boy why his mother was so ugly. The child replied that he did not find anything ugly about his mother. She was beautiful in her smile and voice, said the tiny tot..! The great writer wanted us to know that beauty was not in the body contours but in the innocence and love exuded by one, on others.

I found the wrinkled face of the Mother Theresa holding an emaciated child in her weak arms, most moving and beautiful. Have you seen the photo of octogenarian Gandhi laughing aloud showing his toothless mouth ? I have heard everyone admire the innocence of that laugh, as if he was our own father!

I dont know what you have in mind but can say that beauty associated with youth and perfect elegance of features are either envied or desired to be possessed but the beauty of the kind hearted of all ages, are ever in bloom.. A word of caution however has been rightly struck by a few here.. There are a few really alluring faces that look innocent in look and speech but may be very misleading in the merits of human values.

I was smart in my youth and did envy my peers who looked better with less cosmetics..! But even then I was attracted to less showy but mild mannered seniors and juniors without reason and also found that many were so attracted to them as well. Could it be the personal magnetism about which some saints refer ? I dont know and hope some other person may refer that in the answers to come. Let me see. What is the real beauty that makes us happy and appreciative free from envy and cynicism?
We like some people more and are attracted to them more compared with others, maybe that's simply a result of our unique tastes and preferences? Like we are attracted more to a tanned person than a fair person etc. Or it might be a matter of the former person having a sort of charm that the latter couldn't compete with. Perhaps some people know how to charm others in a way that makes them have all the attention on them.

And to your main question, I think it just comes down to the person admiring the beauty, and not the beauty itself. Because if someone is easily jealous, while another is not, even when viewing the same beauty, the reactions would be distinctively different, thus it's not a matter of the subject, but rather the perceiver.
God has put angels among us and I believe that when you encounter one of these lovely creatures you are immediately charmed and feel great warmth. You don't even know the effect they have on you until moments after you part and then the moment is gone and you have the beautiful memory of that feeling and will know where that feeling comes from the next time you encounter one of these heavenly beings.
dont hide anything in heart just speak out wat u feel .

but u should be careful at was situation ur going to speak .act according to the mood.

if u feel some one good or charm just tell u look good if u like someones dress then tell u have nice dress or u look cool in this dress

but tell only wat u feel dont make it from mind

The vibes that we receive from some people are in the same wavelength as that of ours and hence we feel a rare charm in their face or words or gestures.
I really think it's interesting how we feel that rare charm, as you say. Maybe we shouldn't question it and just let it be. :)
never take something very close to your heart say whatever is in your heart and if you cant go on terrace and speak to the walls
