What do expiration dates on beauty products mean?

I don't want to order proactive from the company but someone has offered to sell me expired proactive for very cheap.





The renewing cleanser expires on 11/05, the revitalizing toner 04/07, and the repairing lotion 05/05.





Do you think it'll be effective at all? Is it worth the $10?

ok the experation date is there because you might get a rash, or break out in acne horribly!!! i wouldnt do it if i were you! i just wouldnt take the chance, you dont want to have a big rash, or ZIT on you face, just because you wanted to save the money!!!I know these things, because my mom works in Philosophy! Which, as you might know, sells proactive, so she knows about these things, and i work with her there during the summer when im not at acting camp!!!
