What is a word for the beauty felt or seen in depressing or tragic artworks?

I am writing an example of a proposal/artist statement. The sculpture I am writing about is my own, it has a tragic theme but at the same time beautiful... How can I describe this? Are there a couple words that could sum up the beauty in tragedy? Or the beauty in chaos? The beauty in sadness? Something along those lines...

Thanks! What is a word for the beauty felt or seen in depressing or tragic artworks?

How about 'meloncholic' or 'ordered chaos'...reminds me of Jackson Pollock's paintings. Beauty in tragedy, order in chaos.
Abject. Please refer to Julia Kristeva's book The Horror of Abjection.
