I'm looking for ideas on how to start a speech on beauty obsessed society in an interesting way please?

The speech needs to be persuasive and around 5 minutes long. Plus I'm going to talk about the media influence, different generations dressing younger/older, increases in teenage plastic surgery and males become obsessed with looks too.I'm looking for ideas on how to start a speech on beauty obsessed society in an interesting way please?
Have a picture of a super-beautiful airbrushed model appear on a screan. Then start off your speech like this:

';Whats the first thing you think of when you see this picture? For most of us its probably 'Man i wished i looked lke her.' But what we dont realise is the ammount of makeup, lighting, airbrushing and photoshoping used to make her look the way she does, creating an unhealthy idea of what true beauty is in the average teenagers life. Sure she looks fantastic-plastic fantastic.';

and just go from there.I'm looking for ideas on how to start a speech on beauty obsessed society in an interesting way please?
Have a girl dress sexy (school appropriate though) do her make up and hair all sexy and have her walk into the room. Note the reactions of the other students. Then have another girl come in the room who is dressed in very conservative clothing, (think turtle neck with a loose blouse over it and loose dress pants) no make-up and nothing special done with her hair. Note the reactions of the other students to this girl as well. You could arrange with the teacher before class that these two girls are going to come in and hand the teacher a note and then leave the room right after you get up to do your speech. If you are unable to find a couple of friends to do this then just use pictures for the same effect.
One thought is to compare how teens dressed in the 50s compared to how they dress today. In the 50s, television wasn't the influence that it is today and role models weren't just celebrities, but also people who had reached great achievements and success in their lives, ie scientists, politicians, business owners.
you could begin with the definition of narcissism and go on from there about how society have become obsessed with their own looks.

Hope this helped.
There's always the Greek myth of Narcissus...look that one up...it might give you some ideas...
